About these terms
These terms apply when you create an organizer profile on Guestflock to bring the service to your clients (planners, decorators, DJs, photographers, MCs and other vendors). They add to our Terms of Service, Privacy policy and Acceptable use policy. Part B is the data processing agreement for the personal data you can see on your clients' events.
Part A: The organizer programme
Your profile
- Your profile has your business name, a phone number, an optional Instagram handle and your logo. Your clients see your business name and logo on their QR cards, big screen and album.
- Your logo must be yours to use. You let us show it on your clients' events for as long as you're their organizer.
- You get a referral code. You can change it once every 30 days.
Two ways to earn
- Client events. You create an event for a client and invite them by email (the invite expires after 14 days; you can resend or cancel it). When the client accepts, they become the owner and you stay on the event as its organizer. Your logo appears next to ours on these events.
- Referrals. You share your link (
guestflock.com/r/your-code). If someone follows it and signs up within 30 days, events they create within 12 months of signing up are credited to you. You don't see the photos, guests or gifts of referred events; only the event name, date, plan and your commission.
Your own events, the ones you host yourself, never earn commission. Once an event has a paid order, the organizer it's credited to can't change.
Commission
- Your commission is 20% of each plan payment on an event credited to you, or the rate we agree with you in writing. It's worked out on the amount the client actually pays, including VAT (for an upgrade, the difference they pay). [Our accountant to confirm the VAT treatment of commissions.]
- It's paid by Paystack straight into your own bank account (a Paystack subaccount in your name) at the moment the client pays. Guestflock pays Paystack's processing fee on these payments. We never hold your money.
- You only earn on payments made while your profile is active and you have an active payout bank account. Add your bank account before your clients pay; we can't pay commission on earlier payments later.
- If a payment is refunded, the whole commission on it is reversed [how Paystack recovers a refunded split share to be confirmed with Paystack].
- Your Commissions page shows a monthly statement (Lagos time), with whether Paystack has settled each one, and a CSV download.
- You're responsible for your own taxes on what you earn.
Your clients
- Tell clients honestly what Guestflock costs and does. The price is the same whether or not you're involved.
- The client owns their event. They can remove you from it at any time; your logo then comes off, but you keep the commission already credited.
Suspension
We may pause your organizer profile if you break these terms or our Acceptable use policy. While paused, your referral link stops working, new payments don't earn commission, and your logo comes off your clients' events. You can still read your profile and statements. We'll tell you why.
Part B: Data processing terms
When you're the organizer on a client's event, you can see what the host sees: every photo (including ones guests made private), guests' names, and the cash gifts with amounts and messages. This part sets out how you must handle that personal data. [Our lawyer to confirm the roles of Guestflock, the host and the organizer under the NDPA, and whether this needs to be a separate signed agreement.]
What you may do
- Use the data only to run that client's event for them (for example moderating the big screen, preparing the album download for your client).
- Follow your client's reasonable instructions about their guests' photos.
What you must not do
- Don't use guests' photos or names for your own marketing, portfolio or social media unless the people in them and your client have agreed.
- Don't copy, sell or pass the data to anyone else, or move it outside the client's event, except to give the client their own album.
- Don't try to identify guests who made their photos private or used a nickname.
Keeping it safe
- Keep your Guestflock account secure; don't share your sign-in.
- If you download an album, store it safely and delete your copies when your client asks, or when you no longer need them for the event.
- Tell us at [DPO email] without delay, and within 24 hours, if you think data from a client's event has been lost, leaked or seen by someone who shouldn't have it, so we can meet our 72-hour duty to the NDPC.
People's rights
If a guest or your client asks you to delete, correct or show them their data, pass the request to us at [DPO email] straight away and help us answer it. Deletion requests must be completed within 30 days.
When it ends
When you're removed from an event, when the event's album ends, or when your organizer profile closes, you lose access to its data. Delete any copies you still have. These data processing terms continue to apply to any copies until they're deleted.
