About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] (RC [RC number]), [registered address] ("Guestflock", "we", "us"). They apply when you create a Guestflock account, create or manage an event, or pay for a plan.
Guests who only join an event don't need an account. Our Privacy policy and Acceptable use policy apply to them too.
If you work with Guestflock as an event planner or vendor, the Organizer terms also apply.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to create an account.
- Use your real name and an email address you can reach. Keep your password safe; you're responsible for what happens in your account.
- One account can host its own events and also be an organizer.
- Tell us at once at [support email] if you think someone else has used your account.
Events and plans
Each event has its own plan. You pay once per event; there are no subscriptions.
| Plan | Price (VAT included) | Guests who can share | Photos | Big screen | Album kept | Download all as one file |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | ₦0 | 30 | 100 | No | 14 days | No |
| Basic | ₦15,000 | 150 | Unlimited | No | 3 months | Yes |
| Celebration | ₦35,000 | 500 | Unlimited | Yes | 12 months | Yes |
| Premium | ₦75,000 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Yes | 24 months | Yes |
- Prices include VAT at 7.5%. Your invoice shows the VAT line. There are no hidden fees.
- Upgrading charges only the difference between the new plan's price and what the event has already paid. Plans can't be downgraded.
- Your new plan starts only when Paystack confirms the payment to us, usually within moments. If a payment doesn't match what was expected, we hold it for checking and our support team will contact you.
- The album is kept from the event date for the plan's period ("Album kept until …" on your dashboard). We email you 7 days before it ends. After that date the photos are deleted for good, so download what you want to keep.
- When the event reaches its plan's guest or photo limit, new guests or photos are refused until you upgrade.
- We may change prices for new purchases. An event you have already paid for keeps the limits it paid for; limits on an existing plan only ever become more generous.
Paying
All payments are in naira (NGN) and are processed by Paystack (card, bank transfer or USSD). We never see or store your card details. You'll get an emailed receipt and an invoice.
Refunds follow our Refund policy.
Your responsibilities as host
- Tell your guests. The QR cards and the join page explain how sharing works, but you're the one inviting them. Let guests know photos may appear on the big screen and in the shared album.
- Children. If children will be at your event, make sure their parents are happy for them to be photographed and shared [lawyer to confirm the parental-consent wording and mechanism]. Hide any photo a parent asks you to.
- Moderate your event. You can hide any photo in one tap and pause the big screen. Hide anything that breaks our Acceptable use policy.
- Use guests' data only for your event. Don't copy guests' names or photos for other purposes they wouldn't expect.
- Co-hosts and organizers you add can see every photo of the event, including private ones. Only add people you trust.
Photos and other content
- Guests own their photos. By sharing a photo, a guest lets Guestflock store it, process it (for example making a smaller copy and removing location details), and show it to the people the guest chose, for as long as the album exists.
- Hosts can view, download and keep their event's photos for personal use. Respect the people in them.
- We can remove any content that breaks the law or our Acceptable use policy. We review reports and act within 24 hours.
- We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't use it for advertising.
Cash gifts
Hosts can let guests send cash gifts ("spraying") from their phones. To turn gifts on you add a payout bank account, which Paystack checks with your bank.
- Gifts are paid by Paystack straight into your bank account (a Paystack subaccount in your name). Guestflock never holds your money.
- Each gift can be between ₦1,000 and ₦1,000,000.
- Guestflock's fee is 2% of each gift, taken by Paystack at payment time. Paystack's own processing fee is also taken from the gift. What you receive is the gift minus both fees. Your Gifts page shows each one.
- When Paystack pays the money into your account depends on Paystack's settlement schedule. The Gifts page shows whether each gift has been settled.
- Changing your payout account needs a code sent to your email and takes effect after 24 hours. We email you when a change is requested and when it starts, so you can cancel it if it wasn't you.
- The big screen can show a guest's message, never the amount.
- [Paystack's written approval of this split-payment model, and any terms Paystack requires us to pass on, to be added here.]
The fee percentage may change for future gifts; we'll show the current fee before a gift is paid.
Organizers and referrals
If you signed up through an organizer's referral link, or an organizer created your event for you, the organizer may earn a commission from Guestflock's share of your plan payment. This doesn't change your price. If an organizer is a member of your event they can see its photos and gifts; as owner you can remove them at any time.
What we provide
We work hard to keep Guestflock running, especially during your event, but internet services can fail. Phone networks at venues can be slow, and photos may arrive late. We don't promise the service will always be available or free of errors.
Ending your account
You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Privacy policy). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts others at risk; where we can, we'll tell you why first.
Liability
[Limitation of liability, indemnity and consumer-protection wording under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018, to be drafted by our lawyer.] Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Nigerian consumer law.
Changes to these terms
Each version of these terms has its own number and date, and earlier versions stay available below. When a change matters, we'll tell you before it applies and, where needed, ask you to agree again. The version you agreed to is recorded with your account.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If something goes wrong, please contact us first at [support email] and we'll try to sort it out. [Dispute resolution forum and process to be confirmed by our lawyer.]
